My Story

I'm a Jack of All Trades. For 23 years I've been an engineer deploying, managing, architecting, and selling enterprise data center and software solutions. I rarely show up as "just the engineer" or "just the seller."

Where I started

Building simple websites is where I started. The first app that I am proud of is an end-to-end web based ticketing system in 2002 (SaaS in todays words). Solving the unsolvable is what hooked me.

What I care about

  • Boring technology, used well
  • Design for the customer you have
  • Every decision and idea gets written down

Why AI, why now

AI is no longer mystical voodoo. It is everywhere and the reliance on it is only going to grow.

The AI Lab is where I'm doing that work in public.
