Hi, I'm Chris.

I've spent more than 20 years turning complicated technology problems into solutions that actually work — and, hopefully, making them a little easier to understand along the way.

My career started at EMC, where I learned the fundamentals of enterprise infrastructure, storage, networking, and what it really means to build systems that businesses depend on. From there, I moved through engineering, consulting, professional services, and pre-sales, designing everything from massive retail infrastructure and data center environments to cloud-native SaaS platforms and data pipelines.

Along the way, I discovered that I really enjoy being at the intersection of technology, business, and people — understanding what someone is trying to accomplish, figuring out the technology behind it, and then explaining it in a way that makes sense.

Now I'm adding AI to that toolbox.

I'm learning LLMs, RAG, agents, vector databases, and the emerging world of agentic AI by actually building things — not just reading about them. This site is where I'm documenting that journey, experimenting in public, and sharing what I learn along the way.

After 20+ years in technology, I'm still curious about what's next. That's probably the part that hasn't changed.
